Mercedes-Benz has done it again; they took their already incredible flagship Coupe and made it even better for the 2013 model.  The changes to the new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG® GT Coupe are making it one of the best sports cars that Mercedes-Benz has ever made.  The new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Coupe has returned with a 6.2-liter V-8 that delivers a whopping 583 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque that is combined with a revised 7-speed AMG® Speedshift® dual-clutch gearbox.

Cigarette Racing Boat Gets Electrified by Mercedes-AMG®

Mercedes-AMG inspired Electric Boat

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG® E-Cell has taken off its wheels and jumped into the water to become a Cigarette AMG® Electric Drive Concept racing boat.  The boat is powered by an all-electric motor that puts out an incredible 2,200 horsepower and is being called the world’s most powerful electric drive powerboat.  The top speed of this amazing powerboat is over 100 mph and all of its power comes from batteries.

Mercedes-AMG® and Cigarette Racing have partnered up to produce the Cigarette AMG® Electric Drive Concept.  The racing boat is 38 feet long and can be recharged, dockside, in seven hours using two 220-kW chargers. This is the first time Mercedes has put its EV technology into a watercraft.

Mercedes-AMG® and Cigarette Racing showed off the Cigarette AMG® Electric Drive Concept at the Miami International Boat Show which started February 14th, 2013.  The concept powerboat integrates many components from the SLS AMG® Coupe Electric Drive which also happens to be the world’s fastest and most powerful electrically driven production vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz has finally revealed the latest and most impressive addition to the Mercedes-Benz Black Series family with the 2014 SLS AMG® Black Series.  The official debut of the new 2014 SLS AMG® Black Series was at the LA Auto show in Los Angeles, CA.  Inspired by the SLS AMG® GT3 race car the new 2014 SLS AMG® Black Series is the most extreme version of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG®.  An attractive mix of design, lightweight construction and exceptional driving dynamics has made this one incredible super car from Mercedes-Benz.

Mercedes-Benz to make a SLS AMG® GT3 45th Anniversary Racecar

SLS AMG® GT3 Mercedes-Benz of New Orleans

Mercedes-Benz will offer a special edition of its SLS AMG® GT3 customer racecar to mark the 45th anniversary of the first SL model.  Mercedes-Benz is planning on building no more than five, each put together by hand in Affalterbach, Germany.  Each of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG® GT3’s will have and AMG® 6.3-liter V-8 hand-fitted by Bernd Schneider and an AMG® technician.  If you don’t know Bernd Schneider he has carried out most of the development testing of the SLS AMG® GT3 and has won the DTM championship three times.

Mercedes-Benz has lived up to their promise to create an electric version of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG® supercar which will debut on the market by the end of 2013.  The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG® Electric Drive has a crazy 740 horsepower engine that will make it the most powerful electric car on the market today and the fastest.

Mercedes-Benz has said that the SLS AMG® Electric Drive will go from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds and will reach a top speed of 155 mph.  The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG® Electric Drive will have a range of around 150 miles and will take more than 20 hours to fully charge in a regular household outlet but Mercedes-Benz does plan to offer a quick-charge option.
